
Key events scheduled for 2021 by the team of Tiro Association for Arts.
The association organizes international festivals in the Lebanese National Theatre in Tyre south of Lebanon. Their goal is the cultural and artistic meeting in order to learn from different experiences from different cultures of the world through direct presentations with the audience or via the Internet online.
Tyre International Short Film Festival from 20 to 22 February (version 8):
It is considered an annual cultural event that aims to celebrate the Lebanese, Arabic, and International cinema. This festival is held annually in the month of December in more than one city (Tyre, Nabatieh – Tripoli). Also, its purpose is to support the principle of freedom of expression and cultural convergence and to support cinema for the youth. Its goal is to support youths and university students by showing their films, promote the film industry in Lebanon, exchange and cultural convergence between different countries and support the Lebanese cinema.
Lebanon International Theatrical Festival for Women's Monodrama from 6 to 8 March (version 2):
It is held annually in the month of March to celebrate International Women's Day for equality, freedom, social justice and empowerment in society.
Tyre International Music Festival from 24 to 26 April (version 5):
It is a music festival of youth teams that promote independent, non-commercial, professional music and singing, support local artists, independent teams, students and young talents. It also does cultural and artistic exchanges between different cultures and establishes workshops, discussions, residencies and symposia dealing with music and singing courses,
Shouf Lebanon Mobile Cinema Festival (Art and Peace Bus) for shows between April and August (version 4):
The bus is filled with graphic drawings of symbols in singing and art like Fairouz, Nasri Shams al-Din, Shoshu and Hind Abi Lama, and Charlie Chaplin, we travel between different regions and villages, to spread the message of “Art and Peace” among young Lebanese, and to urge them to release their creative energies, skills and crystallization through trainings, workshops, theater, film and art performances.
Tyre International for Fine Arts Festival from 23 to 25 May (version 2):
Through painting and different plastic arts from different cultures and within different themes for each year of the festival.
Tyre International Photo Festival (Photo in the face of corruption and oppression and for freedom of expression) from 20 to 22 June:
Through the photograph, the different cultures and within the different themes for each year of the festival.
Lebanon International Contemporary Dance Festival from 10 to 14 July (version 2)
The Contemporary Dance Festival aims to participate in various shows, whether monodrama or group.
Lebanon International Storytelling Festival (Hakawati) from 23 to 25 October (version 3):
The art of the storyteller is part of the Arab heritage and identity, and it is also a world heritage, according to UNESCO, hence the importance of preserving this type of art and preserving the oral heritage and its importance in education and cultural and heritage memory.
Tiro Arts International Festival from 18 to 20 December (version 4):
Tiro Association for Arts invites filmmakers, theatre companies and musicians for the participation. The festival brings together artists from the three disciplines and introduce them to the public in the city of Tyre, south Lebanon. All kinds of theatre and music are welcomed.
