I walked out of some 6-7 other films as well, giving each of them 30 minutes to grasp my attention. Unfortunately, I do not remember even their names.
Over a period of nine days, I saw some 32 films, attended nine press conferences and five dinner receptions. Only two films ranked *** ½, and that means that it was a poor festival for me.
Instead of blaming the selection jury, I will attribute the low score of good films to my own choices. I did not choose to see the films that ended up bagging most of the awards. But this is an occupational hazard, which one has to live with.
