Little Wing Film Festival is returning for its 6th year in September and accepting film submissions for another week.

Little Wing is a volunteer and community-led grassroots festival championing sustainable and inclusive opportunities for emerging filmmakers breaking into the industry. With an arsenal of prizes, industry workshops, and opportunity pathways geared towards supporting new filmmakers, we'd love to welcome students, graduates, and filmmakers within their first few years of experience to share their work. In the past, we've awarded over £60,000 worth of prizes to young filmmakers, working with MET Film School, BBC Films, RØDE and many more partners to deliver valuable, formative industry experiences. We have a particular interest in how the films we watch inform how we understand the world, and the kind of stories, and storytellers, we platform has an exciting capacity for social change. We're also looking to pilot a programme creating campaigns around socially conscious short films with toolkits and resources to action the social change films call for -
We'll be screening online and back in person at Everyman Cinema in London, Borough and Kings Cross, from September 21-25. We have a free online ticketing scheme for anyone finding finances a barrier to engaging with film, and please let your community know that if any filmmakers are finding finances a barrier to engaging with the festival circuit, to please get in touch and we'll be happy to help them on contact@littlewingevents.com or we can offer you a waiver to share.
