Filmmaker, president and founder of the AGON International Archaeological FILM FESTIVAL, Memi Spyratou and Dimitris Komninos, artistic director of the urban non-profit organization “ODYSSEY - CULTURAL EVENTS” in collaboration with the “GREEK FILM ARCHIVE” as well as the Hellenic National Committee of the “INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF MUSEUMS” (ICOM), are initiating the 11th AGON- International Archaeological Film Festival, under the general thematic title "Ecumenical Community". The festival is sponsored by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
The theme of the 11th AGON- International Archaeological Film Festival is Archeology in the broadest sense - the recording of a world that is lost, today that becomes the archeology of tomorrow. Antiquity, the Middle Ages, Industrial Archeology, Folk Arts and Traditions, and Cultural Heritage in general, as a connecting link of the Ecumenical Community.
The 11th International Archaeological Film Festival- AGON will take place in Athens, May 10-16, 2022.
The deadline for submission of entries expires on December 20, 2021.
