In many cultural fields, networking has been fostered by Institutions to encourage the creation of transnational actions. In the film festival circuit, the networking capability has become year after year a criteria in funding programs, such as CREATIVE MEDIA led by the European Commission, to strengthen the impact of cultural programs at a European level. If film festivals can benefit from networking, by reinforcing their visibility and implementing new projects at an international scale, they also face challenges to find partners and shape new collaborations, in line with their identity and program.
