College Cuts Series at Madison College


As part of the Screens for Teens outreach program, we are thrilled to partner with Madison College's Office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement for the College Cuts film series. These events are free and open to the public, with advance registration required.


College Cuts: Women Outward Bound
Date: Thursday, April 26
Time: 6:30 pm

Fifty years ago, girls were not allowed to participate in the rigorous United States outward bound wilderness school until 24 women broke that barrier. Find out how one month of surviving in the woods changed them – and history – forever. The documentary film will be followed by a post-screening Skype Q&A session with award-winning filmmaker Maxine W. Davis.
 

College Cuts: Cliff, Superfan! & Brown Girl

Brown Girl is a short documentary by Violet Wang that focuses on Gretchen Carvajal, a Filipino-American artist and UW–Madison student.

Cliff, Superfan! is a short documentary about Clifford Hayashi, Stanford University’s biggest sports fan. He’s attended over 4,000 games in the past 22 years, cheering on the individual members of every Stanford team like they were his own children. But Cliff isn’t just a super fan.
